Stories On the Road/Storie raccolte per strada
A recap of the voices and places from our coast-to-coast journey/Voci e luoghi del nostro viaggio da costa a costa: un riepilogo.
Dear Readers,
Our 70-day, 21,000 km coast-to-coast reporting journey across Canada gave us countless encounters, landscapes, and stories. It will still take us several months to publish them all, but we’d like to pause for a moment and share a recap of what has already been published—just in case you may have missed something along the way.
Thank you for travelling with us, for your thoughtful insights, and for the encouragement you keep giving us as we continue to write and report. And stay tuned: in the weeks ahead, more voices, places, and unexpected stories from our journey will be making their way to you.

Dear Peter, Thank you so much for your thoughtful words. We love hearing that our “Italian lens” offers a fresh way of looking at Canada; that’s exactly what we hope to bring to our readers.
Your travels sound even more intriguing — 80,000 km of discovery across such vast and varied landscapes. What an extraordinary way to experience the country (and beyond). We can only imagine the stories and encounters you’ve gathered along the way. Thanks again for following Canadiensis and for sharing a glimpse of your own journeys.
I value your posts for a couple of reasons. First, because you look at Canada through an Italian lens. Canadians can at times be too self absorbed and may be obsessive about our relationship with the United States. Another perspective is helpful.
Second, because we are suckers for road trips. My wife and I travelled some 80,000 km over the last 5 years in our RV, crossing Canada several times to explore all provinces and the Yukon (we have lived in the NWT and Nunavik and have also visited Nunavut), then went Alaska before heading south to the Mexican border and returned north to escape the heat of the US.
Thanks for all you have shared so far.
Peter
