At a gas station in northern Ontario, migrants tell stories of arrival – and departure/In una stazione di servizio nel nord dell’Ontario, storie di migranti tra arrivi e ripartenze (inglese/italiano)
Tutto bene! Thank you for sharing this perspective! We are seeing the dehumanization of immigrants and a rise of racism in this country based on disinformation, lies and propaganda. We need true stories to counter these forces of racism that seek to weaken our Canadian democracy!
I’m always struck by how the same mechanisms repeat themselves, identical, thousands of miles apart. In this work Canada isn’t a destination but a transit point: a space for learning and moving on. In my travels I recognize these suspended places that don’t ask for belonging, only to be crossed.
Here is Canada. May it stay this way.
What a beautiful and real perspective on ‘others’. Thank you so much 🙏🏿🎶💃🏽♥️
